Poetry, for me, becomes the bridge to access the "unspoken spaces" of the body and spirit. Frequently, my aesthetic sensibilities examine concepts of the self across landscapes of foreignness, loss, paradise, etc. My work aims to complicate notions of sensory depiction with its emphasis on the synesthetic image and its potential for inclusive poetics.
